Body found on Bruce Highway near Rockhampton, sparking police appeal

Police are investigating whether a man was hit and killed by a passing vehicle after finding his body a short distance from his car in central Queensland.

Officers were called to the Bruce Highway just south of Rockhampton about 1.40am on Monday.

They arrived at the scene to find the body on the side of the road.
