Body found after search for missing man in Gold Coast canal

Police searching for a missing man on the Gold Coast have recovered a body.

Authorities were called to a Broadbeach canal about 5:30am today and found the body just after 9:00am.

Witnesses reported three people entering the canal on the corner of Sunshine and Hooker Boulevard in Broadbeach Waters, but one man did not resurface.

An investigation is underway.
