Body believed to be missing man found during two-day search
A body believed to be a 21-year-old man who went missing after being stuck in a rip off the Sunshine Coast has been found during a two-day search.
A search and rescue operation was triggered on Saturday after he was last seen by his friends swimming near Stumers Creek Road in the ocean off Coolum Beach about 4pm.
Police said he was might have gotten stuck in a rip.
The body was found about 2pm on Monday within the search area.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
