Blow for big Ben: Dees book star recruit in for knee surgery
Melbourne has been dealt a pre-season blow, with big-name recruit Ben Brown to undergo knee surgery just over one month before the start of the AFL season.
The Demons on Thursday confirmed Brown had consulted with a specialist where it was determined surgery was the best course of action after reporting persistent knee swelling on Monday prior to training.
Brown in the coming days will have an arthroscope to address cartilage damage in his left knee.
