Blake Lively calls out the fashion industry’s lack of inclusivity for postpartum women
Taking brief pause from her ongoing playful onslaught against her husband, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively hit a serious note on social media, opening up to her 28 million-strong following about a great insecurity she’d felt a year earlier.
Looking back exactly a year to January 2020, Lively posted an image of her own appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Instagram stories on January 29, the image accompanied by a candid detailing of the alienation she’d felt by the fashion industry moments before it was taken.
“I put together a @lavinoffical shirt and dress from @netaporter to make this pretty outfit. Because no one had samples that fit me after giving birth. And so many clothes from stores didn’t fit either. So. Many.”…
