Billboard company hits snag in Cross River Rail compensation claim

Apex objected to Cross River Rail calling John Tyquin, who with his brother Chris is a joint managing director of General Outdoor Advertising Pty Ltd (GOA), as its expert witness to advise on “inputs for the discount cash flow analysis” and attributes of the proposed LED billboard.
About 2½ years ago, Apex had approached Chris Tyquin to act as its expert witness in the same legal dispute, but in the end chose another expert.
The company had suggested John Tyquin’s potential access to information, which had earlier been provided to Chris Tyquin so he could advise Apex and give expert evidence, created the risk.
