Few aromas are more enticing than that of bread baking, and in recent years more and more Australians have been rising to the lure of sourdough as young rockstar bakers have kicked off a fresh bread culture.
The likes of Sonoma and Bourke Street Bakery arguably set the trend in motion and more small independent bakeries followed, specialising in traditionally made bread that’s become the best thing since, well, sliced bread.
