MacBooks are an obvious choice for students. But Chromebooks could be a better fit for many in 2021.
tl:dr: the updated MacBook Air with Apples powerful M1 processor offers snappy performance and is cheap (for a MacBook). But Chromebooks have matured to become a viable option.
