Belkin phone chargers sold nationwide online and in Apple stores urgently recalled – 7NEWS.com.au
A ‘manufacturing defect’ in the phone charger can cause it to overheat and potentially spark a fire.
A range of portable and wireless phone charger has been recalled over concerns a malfunction could spark a fire.
The defect was reported by Energy Safe Victoria through the consumer watchdog early on Saturday morning.
It was found in Belkins Portable Wireless Charger and Stand with the Model Number WIZ003.
According to the ACCC, a manufacturing defect in the power supply unit could cause the charger to malfunction and overheat.
When this happens, it increases the risk of fire or electrical fault.
