Bega gets keys to Lion Dairy and Drinks – The Australian Financial Review
Vegemite owner Bega Cheese has officially taken ownership of the Lion Dairy and Drinks business which includes big brands Dairy Farmers, Yoplait, Big M, Masters…
The headline price of $560 million includes $26 million of IT separation costs, which brings the net price tag down to $534 million.
Bega shares are sitting at about $5.32, still well above the $4.60 price of a capital raising late last year to help pay for the acquisition. Bega has about 13,000 shareholders.
Bega shares hit $5.78 at the end of November, after slumping to $3.46 in the depths of the March sharemarket sell-off at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
