Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis movie to start shooting when Tom Hanks finishes quarantine – Sydney Morning Herald
After pre-production was shut down in March, the Warner Bros movie is getting back to business.
Hanks flew into the state on a private jet on Tuesday night and is staying at a Gold Coast hotel that is not one of Queensland Health’s designated quarantine hotels, with security paid for by the production.
While details had been scant to date, Elvis will cover the dynamic between Presley and Parker over 20 years “against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America”.
