Prepare for trouble and make it double! Team Rocket has returned to Pokémon GO, with iconic duo Jessie and James also appearing.
With everyone stuck indoors, Niantic has taken measures to ensure that Pokémon GO, which is meant to be played by going outside, can still be fully enjoyed from the comforts of players homes.
Today, the villainous Team Rocket has returned to cause trouble, now travelling via hot air balloons, meaning players can battle them wherever they are and rescue the organisations corrupted shadow pokémon.
If you have a Rocket Radar or Super Rocket Radar equipped, youll be able to find balloons piloted by one of the Team Rocket leaders or Giovanni himself, with the latter now apparently in possession of the legendary Suicune.
Fans of the anime series, however, can look forward to encountering the iconic duo of Jessie and James, who have finally made their Pokémon GO debut, and can be found in their trademark Meowth balloon.
They battle with a Shadow Ekans and Shadow Koffing, the pokémon they originally owned in the show, which you can claim for yourself. Theres even a chance for them to be shiny.
In addition, cosmetic items based on Jessie and James are now available in the shop, meaning you can dress up your character up in their Team Rocket garb.
They, along with the rest of Team Rocket, will only be around for a limited time, but encounters with them will increase on Sunday between 11am and 2pm. More details can be found on Niantics website.
Pokémon GO is available for Android and iOS devices.
