Ash Barty is on one hell of a tennis tear and emphatically shutting down suggestions she unfairly held on to women’s tennis’ No.1 ranking.
The 25-year-old captured her 11th WTA singles title, and first on clay since winning the 2019 French Open, by lifting the trophy in Stuttgart on Monday (AEDT).
It continued a stunning run of form thats netted Barty two more WTA titles in the space of three weeks and extended her gap atop the womens rankings to a whopping 1855 points.
