Barrenjoey Capital raids JPMorgan for equity capital markets bosses – The Australian Financial Review
Start-up investment bank Barrenjoey Capital has poached two of JPMorgan’s top Australian investment bankers to run its equity capital markets unit.

The two bankers are expected to report to Barrenjoey bosses Guy Fowler and (expected to formally sign in coming weeks) Matthew Grounds.
Theyre arguably Fowler and Grounds biggest recruits from outside of their former employer, UBS.
Barrenjoey is understood to have close to 100 staff and is expected to ramp up its business this year. It will target corporate advisory, underwriting and markets activities, and take on the likes of UBS, JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs.
