???? BARRA CLOSURE ???? A closed season for barramundi in the Gulf of Carpentaria began 12:01 am on 7 October 2020 and ends at 11:59 pm on 31 January 2021. Possession is permitted on boats until 11:59 pm on 17 October 2020. During this time it is also prohibited to deliberately target barramundi for catch and release, as the stress of capture may prevent a fish from spawning.
