Bankers less glum about small business losses – The Australian Financial Review
Bankers warn the real test will come when small firms are due to resume loan repayments.
But they noted there were sharp differences in the performance across the hospitality industry, depending on their physical location.
Many cafes in suburban locations were performing far better than expected, while many of those in city CBDs had suffered from a plunge in revenues.
A similar pattern was evident with pubs and clubs, with the hardest hit businesses tending to be located in the CBDs.
