Baldurs Gate 3is in a tough position. It exists to serve two purposes. The first is to continue the legacy of the Baldurs Gate franchise from the early 2000s. The second is to adapt Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition ruleset, the most popular tabletop role-playing game on the planet. Hitting the marks on one of these things would be difficult. Managing both might be impossible.
