Baby Thea’s fatal heart defect missed during routine ultrasound at Redcliffe Hospital

A baby who died a few hours after birth had a serious heart condition that was not picked up by an ultrasound scan before her birth, a coroner has heard.

Thea Flaskett died within four hours of being born at Redcliffe Hospital, north of Brisbane, in September 2023.
