Australian coach Justin Langer has always preached that those wanting to get in the team must “bang the door down”.
Well, axed star Travis Head has done just that.
Having raced to 189* on day one of South Australias Sheffield Shield clash against Western Australia on Thursday, the dashing left-hander continued on his merry way early on day two.
The 27-year-old, who was dropped from Langers side following the Boxing Day Test, brought up his double century with back to back boundaries through the third-man region off left-arm seamer Liam Guthrie.
