Australian shares hit a new record high yesterday, and are expected to rise even further in morning trade.
ASX futures were up 0.2 per cent to 7,229 points, by 8:00am AEST.
The Australian dollar was steady at 77.5 US cents.
In economic news, the Bureau of Statistics (ABS) will release its April trade balance and retail sales figures.
A fortnight ago, the ABS released preliminary retail data, which showed sales lifted 1.1 per cent in April (after a 1.3 per cent rise in March).
