Australian cricketers, coaches, match officials and commentators stranded in India amid the country’s COVID-19 crisis have officially been transported to the Maldives.
Cricket Australia confirmed the news in a joint statement with the Australian Cricketers’ Association on Thursday evening, with the cohort to remain in the Maldives until the expiration of Australia’s travel ban to individuals coming back from India.
