Australia not meeting new WHO guidelines for physical activity – Brisbane Times
New guidelines have shifted the finish line for how much exercise we should be doing – and Australians have fallen behind.
For adults you should be doing at least 150, possibly up to 300 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per week – that means up to an hour of physical activity most days of the week, he said.
You could do a bit less, between 70 and 150 minutes, if it was a higher intensity, so we kind of stepped it up in saying we probably need to do a bit more than what has been recommended in the past.
