Austal snares $57m contract for US Navy robot warships – The Australian Financial Review
Perth-based shipbuilder Austal will install autonomous operating capacity in the next vessel it delivers to the US Navy.
Winning a $US44 million contract is welcome from a revenue perspective, but strategically this contract award is even more significant for Austal, he said.
Autonomous vessel capability has been identified as an area of strategic importance by the US Navy.
