An Aussie scientist on a mission to find the origin of COVID-19 in China has been promised access to the lab where the ‘bat woman of Wuhan’ works.

An Australian scientist trying to discover the origin of the coronavirus has been promised access to a Wuhan lab that’s leading the world in the study of bat-borne viruses.
NSW Health Pathology director Dominic Dwyer, who is on a World Health Organisation research mission to China to find the origins of the pandemic, told NCA NewsWire his team would visit the lab run by a scientist nicknamed the “bat woman”.
“We’ve been told we can visit the lab,” he said.
