Australia’s ATP Cup campaign is in tatters after Alex de Minaur fell to Greece’s world No.6 Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets.
While the 6-3 7-5 loss put Wednesday nights tie at 1-1, it means the hosts are in essence eliminated from the tournament, due to their 0-3 loss to Spain on Tuesday night.
Even if Australia wins the tie against Greece, and Greece then beats Spain (which would be unexpected), Spain would have more match wins than the Aussies.
