SYDNEY, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) — An Australian study has identified key mechanisms which cause immune system deterioration, in response to severe viral infections such as HIV and COVID-19.
Released on Monday by the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, the study identified several new mediators of immune exhaustion which could become the focus for new therapies.
