Augmented reality Mario Kart turns your home into a cartoon race track – Sydney Morning Herald
Nintendo’s latest toy is part video game, part remote control car and all magic, despite a few bumps in the road.
Just driving around is a blast, and the kart has no problems trundling across wooden floors, tiles, lino or carpet, though I wouldn’t try it on shag. Looking at the kart directly you might notice the turning circle is quite wide, and that it’s impossible to get as much lateral motion in a drift as you might in the proper game, but in the moment it both looks and plays very well.
I especially love how Mario or Luigi grab their hat at top speed or physically jostle and cry out if you hit something…
