At least 8 deaths as Europe’s heatwave causes forest fires, health alerts and shuts a nuclear reactor

Four people have died in Spain, two in France and two in Italy as an early summer heatwave continues to grip much of Europe.

The heat has also triggered health alerts, forest fires and forced the closure of a nuclear reactor at a Swiss power plant.
