Goldman Sachs has warned the second wave of COVID-19 lockdowns in Melbourne could prompt a second round of capital raisings, with a number of companies likely to bolster their balance sheets in the midst of earnings season.
While the flurry of capital raisings witnessed during April and May has subsided slightly, investors could soon be asked to stump up more cash as the full earnings impact of COVID-19 is revealed.
