Perpetual’s listed investment company will pay a final dividend of 2.8¢ a share, down from 3.4¢, and recorded its best year of outperformance against the market since it floated.
The Perpetual Equity Investment Company portfolio beat the market by 6.4 percentage points over financial 2020, delivering a loss of 1.2 per cent, which was better than the S&P/ASX 300 Accumulation Index loss of 7.6 per cent.
