The Australian sharemarket fell for a second week running despite a number of strong earnings results and dividend surprises, with a heavy sell-off on Friday.

Goodman Group shares slid 4.1 per cent to $17.22 with a strong first half result on Friday unable to offset a decline at the start of the week.
NRW Holdings shares tumbled 15 per cent to $2.27 after it reported a 13 per cent slide in profits despite a 45 per cent increase in revenues.
GWA Group shares slid 14.9 per cent to $3.13 after it warned higher-margin work for commercial buildings would remain subdued in the short term.
