Rugby league great Matty Johns has knocked back potentially joining the Samoan coaching staff as an assistant coach, after they confirmed their commitment to Matt Parish.
Johns made headlines earlier this week when he revealed that himself, his brother Andrew Johns and Kiwi superstar Sonny-Bill Williams were thinking of coaching the Samoan national team.
Samoa Rugby League quickly shut down the idea, releasing a statement supporting their current boss ahead of the World Cup later this year.
