Ash Barty playfully teased the Rod Laver Arena crowd over a woeful rendition of Happy Birthday, which she prompted them to sing for her good friend and former doubles partner Casey Dellacqua.
Conducting the on-court interview for Nine after Barty’s tense win over Daria Gavrilova, Dellacqua put the world No.1 on the back foot with the expectation of a birthday present after reminding her that today was her 36th birthday.
