Blue Diamond winner Artorius could return the Freedman name to the Golden Slipper honour roll in Saturdays $3.5 million event at Rosehill.
The Freedman brother’s operation, led by Lee Freedman, won four-straight Golden Slippers between 1993 and 1996 with Bint Marscay, Danzero, Flying Spur and Merlene.
The Freedman’s eventually parted and went their separate ways. Anthony Freedman set up stables in Victoria before entering into a training partnership with his son Sam at the start of this season.
