Armed hold-up closes Canning Highway in Applecross, south of Perth

WA Police are at the scene of an armed hold-up in Applecross, south of Perth. 

The incident is taking place at the intersection of Riseley Street and Canning Highway, with Canning Highway closed in both directions. 

It is understood there are no injuries at this stage, and no one has been taken into custody.

Helicopter vision from the scene shows tactical response officers with their guns drawn. 

Ambulances are also on stand by, as is a large police presence.
