Areas in England with biggest rise in coronavirus cases with some trebling in days – Mirror Online
The latest data from Public Health England shows there are 196 areas in England with a new infection rate of more than 10 per 100,000 – of which 164 showed a week-on-week increase in Covid-19 cases
Worrying new data shows more than 160 places in England have seen a rise in the number of coronavirus cases in seven days.
In some areas, including Gateshead, the infection rate more than trebled in the seven days to Saturday.
And Bolton, Liverpool, Birmingham, Hertsmere and Bury were among the places which saw the rate double compared to a week before.
