‘Are we playing under-6s?’: Paul Gallen blows up at NRL’s new scrum rule trial

Paul Gallen has slammed the NRLs decision trial a new rule in Round 20 that requires only 10 nominated forwards to be used in the scrum. The dead rubbers between the Broncos and Cowboys and the Warriors and Sea Eagles in Round 20 will see four new rules trialled as part of an experimentation exercise.
The new rules include the use of the “six again” rule for 10m infringements, handover for kicks into touch rather than a scrum, and a change in bunker referral process.
