Apollo confirmed as Tabcorp wagering bidder; Jefferies on ticket – The Australian Financial Review
Credit and private equity giant Apollo Global Management has bid for Tabcorp’s wagering and gaming business.
Apollos offer landed as London-listed Entain also made a bid for the $3 billion wagering unit.
Street Talk revealed Macquarie-advised Entains interest on Tuesday after Tabcorp confirmed it had received indicative and non-binding proposals to buy the division.
Apollos interest should come as little surprise as Street Talk also first reported on Wednesday afternoon given its gaming interests worldwide, recent hunt for a bookmaking investment and deep pockets.
