ANZ to claw back millions in redraw facilities – The Australian Financial Review
A systems error at the bank has overstated the redraw facilities of 200,000 borrowers – but it will retain redraws for customers in financial hardship.
“We are very sensitive to individual customer circumstances and thats the reason why we took the actions that we did around the time of the bushfires, and subsequently COVID, and we will continue to work with our customers and support them through this,” Ms Stubbings said.
A spokesman for Australian Securities and Investments Commission said it was aware of the issue and stressed the importance of communicating with those affected by the adjustment.
