Anthony Albanese’s Labor pitch lacks detail and invites a scare campaign
It’s no coincidence Anthony Albanese chose Queensland to spruik his first major policy announcement of the year. And it’s no coincidence that policy was about insecure work.
Queensland is home to roughly half a million voters who have bounced between One Nation, Clive Palmer and Katter’s Australia Party at recent federal and state elections.
Many of these voters face job insecurity and don’t think the major parties listen to them. Indeed, such voters can be found in most marginal seats across the country.
The Labor leader is now assuring them he cares. He’s promising insecure workers a better deal.
