Antarctica’s Glacier-damming Ice Shelves at Risk – ClickLancashire

According to a recent study, numerous coastal ice shelves in Antarctica would be rapidly destroyed if growing temperatures continue to push the meltwater into various fractures that are presently entering their surfaces.
New research conducted by the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies found Antarctic Ice Sheet change was particularly driven by the interaction between ice shelves and ocean conditions.
