Two ‘fireball’ meteors have been spotted in the UK in consecutive weeks.
It’s believed last Sunday’s (February 28) huge space object crash landed just north of Cheltenham, after a ‘sonic boom noise’ was reported across the South West.
Tonight (Monday, March 8) stargazers spotted another meteor in the skies above Sheffield.
Virtual Astro tweeted at 6:50pm: “Large fireball spotted over the UK 10 minutes ago.”
One person replied: “Just seen an amazing shooting star/meteor over Sheffield, heading North….
