A new spin-off of The X-Files is in development, focusing on the stories of an office full of misfit agents — but it won’t look much like the original 90s series.
An animated comedy spinoff of X-Files is in development at Fox, dubbed the X-Files B-team.
Titled The X-Files: Albuquerque, the upcoming series will ditch David Duchovny as Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully and will focus on an all new office full of misfit agents who investigate cases that are too wacky, ridiculous or downright dopey.
Original creator Charles Carter is onboard to executive produce with Rocky Russo and Jeremy Sosenko who will also write the script.
