The husband of a healthcare worker who died within days of a new coronavirus vaccine becoming available had asked doctors if it could be used to save her life, but was told it was too late.
“Pocket rocket” healthcare assistant Adela Baldwin-White, 47, died in an intensive care unit on Thursday after her condition worsened dramatically in a matter of days.
Two days before she died, news of the Pfizer vaccine’s approval by the English regulator came through.
