Andrew Cuomo impeachment probe approved as calls grow for New York Governor to resign
The speaker of the New York State Assembly has authorised an “impeachment investigation” into sexual misconduct allegations six women have made against Governor Andrew Cuomo.

- The probe will run parallel to an investigation led by the New York Attorney-General
- Several New York politicians have called on Mr Cuomo to resign, including New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio
- Mr Cuomo has denied all allegations made against him
The panel’s investigation, which will run parallel to one being led by New York Attorney-General Letitia James, will be authorised to interview witnesses, subpoena documents and evaluate evidence.
