They were without talismanic captain Diego Castro, but Perth Glory still managed to find a way to claim a 1-0 victory against the Central Coast Mariners in their first match of the A-League restart
The loss was a record-equalling 11th consecutive league defeat for Alen Stajcics Central Coast side, matching a truly woeful record notched by the New Zealand Knights in 2005.
Clearly, the pandemic-enforced break has done little to revive the Mariners already fleeting hopes of avoiding a third-straight wooden spoon.
