Melbourne, we’re nearly there. We’ve done the responsible thing. May we continue to see this through, and never stop smiling at each other behind our mask.

My ideal scenario? Sunday morning (possibly hungover), me, a crew of willing participants, and the all-out gluttony of stopping every trolley. The distinct smell of steamed bamboo baskets full of plump, glistening dumplings, tender braised chicken feet, jewel bright greens. The chaotic aftermath of sauces spilled and empty tea cups. I miss all of it, profusely.
