‘An extraordinarily difficult decision’: Opera Australia CEO steps down – Sydney Morning Herald
In an email to staff, Rory Jeffes said it was “very much a personal decision” to leave after less than four years in the role.

I am not able to make that commitment, again for both family reasons and shifting priorities, he wrote. It has been an extraordinarily difficult decision but one I believe is objectively in the best interests of the long term for OA.

The term of OAs current artistic director Lyndon Terracini finishes at the end of 2023 and Mr Jeffes said it was vital there be a CEO who could commit to overseeing that transition.
