Americans Want Day-And-Date Movies – Dark Horizons

Filmmakers may bristle at it, exhibitors are terrified of it – but there is little question – offer day-and-date movies and people will pay for your streaming service.
A new pair of THR/Morning Consult polls were conducted in late February. They found that 90% of HBO Max subscribers, and 64% of those who weren’t, were more likely to purchase a streaming service subscription if it included newly released films the same day they are in theaters for no extra cost.
