Melbourne researchers seek drug trial participants to tackle Alzheimer’s
Professor Christopher Rowe from the Australian Dementia Network is leading a joint international study to detect the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
The test is aimed at detecting a protein which is one of the hallmarks of the disease and Professor Rowe says it will result in earlier and more accurate diagnoses.
With phase 2 trials of the drugs already underway internationally, Australia could soon see these drugs go to market.
